ABOUT ME

Having grown up between two countries, I embroidered my childhood memories using spools of thread of very contrasting colours; my candid smile was drawn as much by jumping on the puddles of rain that cover the cobblestones of Lille as by running in the wheat fields of my golden Kabylie. This dual identity revealed in me this intrinsic and abysmal need to discover the world around me. I then initiated my own journey by learning six new languages, including Spanish and Portuguese. Thus was born my sudden love for Latin America; its poignant history and its sharp art, its vibrant culture and its variegated populations, its past and present so intertwined. From then on, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to this purpose; decipher, analyze, tell this exciting continent that will never stop surprising me. I want my pen to mark in indelible ink what my insatiable curiosity will lead me to discover. It is by realizing my dreams that my little child's fabric will become a grown-up haberdashery.

Kabyle journalist and writer

"My pen is more than an instrument, it is my witness before me, before those who have not lost all hope, before my dead and my living who are silent and for whom I am the First Witness."
